Come stroll with me 3
As we continue down the road we see grasses, flowers and many
apple trees in full bloom. If all goes well by fall there should be an abundance of delicious pasture apples for snacking, pies and apple sauce.
I don't ever remember a spring with such a display of apple blossoms. Can you imagine if there were to be an apple for every blossom?
We turn the corner and head for home. This is supposed to be a
field of hay but the dandelions have temporarily taken over the meadow.
Remember how we picked them and brought the first bouquet of spring to our moms? With love in our hearts and sunshine in our outstretched hands, delivering the gifts of our innocent youth. And the fuzzies, oh how we loved to blow those magical little balls of fluff and watch them fly and dance in the air. Lie on your belly with your face in the grass. Breath in the fragrance of the grass. Blow the fluff and watch it fly.
Roll over on your back and see the clouds float across the sky.
Look carefully and you can watch the hawks swoop & glide on by.
Well, it's time to rise and continue down the road towards home
past choke cherry's blooming and the neighbors lilacs sweet perfume.
We've come full circle start to end. One last look across the meadow, relishing the scene. The old farmhouse sits in waiting to welcome us with all the comforts of a loving home.
