Casa Strega's Aloha Alexandra CD -CDX-CGC Reg. therapy dog (Lexi)
June 30th 2002 at 9 months of age. First leg for CD title with Jane
Dear Joy,
I thought you might want to add Lexi's accomplishment to your web site.
I am so proud of her! I still can't believe it, Joy. A 196 1/2. What a score. She was just awesome. Second place was 192, not even close.
She blew them out of the water. On the first day she missed a command which cost us a qualifying score or she would have had a 195.
I plan to show her in July and August and finish
her CD this summer if all goes well. I guess we found out how capable she is of it. Thank you so much for sharing another one of your wonderful poodles with me. Skippy and Lexi have given me so much joy and pleasure in life. Now these moments in the show ring are giving us memories together to cherish forever. Thank you, Joy for sharing your wonderful poodles.
Love, Jane
Lexi has now earned her CD. She finished in 4th place both days in competition of 45 dogs the first day and 35 dogs the second day. We are all so proud of her.
Thank you Jane for this accomplishment and all the hard work that you did to make it possible.
Lexi will continue with her show career working towards her CDX after a break for motherhood. Lexi is now also a registered therapy dog and will soon also be a registered service dog.

Dear Joy,
Aug. 14th 2004. First open A leg. Lexi was first of of six, five qualifiers. Her score was 193 1/2. We go back tomorrow. Hope all is well with you.
Love, Jane and Lexi
Dear Joy,
Our Lexi has finished her Companion Dog Excellant Title-CDX, with all blues....ALL WINS. She was first of six, then first of 26 in the second class and first of 22 in the final leg. She is awesome in the ring. Her healing patterns are too tough to beat. Her figure eights are nearly perfect. Her dumbbell work has improved so much over the summer. She always does a nice job on the broad jump. She had only one score lower than the 190's. That was a 186 1/2 and that was a win She has had scores of 196 1/2 , 195, 194 1/2, 192 1/2. She is so willing and eager to please. She has an incredible watch. Working with her is a dream. I love her so. Her puppies are going to be incredible. Neko is such an outstanding Conformation Champion with such an outgoing temporament; this cross is going to be magnificent.
Much Love,
Jane

First CD leg June 30 2005
Joy,
See the medallion Kiley won?!! We couldn't wait to get home and write to you about her win, first time out, eight in the class, score of 193. Second place was in the 180's. It was so hot. All the dogs felt the heat and it cost us all points because of it. She will be eight months old tomorrow. I am especially proud of this win because it's my first time as owner/handler/breeder. She is Lexi's daughter, alright. She is going to follow in her mother's footsteps. Kiley is going to be a great obedience poodle. Thanks for all your input and help with the breeding to produce my good little girl. I plan to breed Lexi back to Neko again her next heat cycle.
Love, Jane

Dear Joy,
Kiley got her second leg in Novice B today. She finished second out of eleven dogs entered. I am so excited that she has two legs already. She worked really well and did a super job on her heeling both on and off lead. She tried so hard and worked her best in spite of the heat and high humidity. WIsh us luck in getting that third leg.
Much love,
Jane & Kiley
Joy,
She did it! Kiley has her Companion Dog Title. She did it in her first three days of showing!!! She won a medallion today with a score of 190 1/2. She is such a great obedience dog. Today was a tough class and the judge marked everybody hard. She did a fantastic heeling pattern both on and off lead. Her stand, figure eight, and recall were nearly perfect. I just love working with her. I plan to go on and work toward her CDX, CGC and get her therapy dog title next. She is perfectly capable of all. I also plan to teach her to do service dog work for me. This will be fun for her and helpful for me. I am going to start working immediately with her on Open exercises. She is going to love the dumbbell work. We have lots of work to do but it's so much fun working with Kiley that I hesitate to call it work.
Love,
Jane
Dear Joy,
I am so excited. Kiley finished this last show in Novice B with a score of 194, just one and a half points from winning the class, one half point from second. We three first places were very tight. We forget that she is just eight months old, a baby, and other entries I spoke with that she competed against were such as three, four and even eleven years old and they have been training and showing for years. This was her first time out!!! She was awesome today. She had incredible scores all week. ...190 1/2, 194, 193. I can't wait to see how she does in Open. I'm so proud of my little girl!
Love,
Jane
